About this course
Pastoral care is about flourishing. This means enabling children to access the ‘life in all its fullness’ that Jesus promised. This might mean enabling and facilitating some things, and preventing and protecting against others. Sometimes we might feel overwhelmed by what we see and hear in the news and with more and more evidence that children are struggling with their mental health and other issues, we can feel helpless and unsure where to start or what to do. This module aims to equip those of us working with children with basic understanding and skills, that will enable us to feel more confident in offering a pastoral approach to activities and individuals. The module is part of the Children's Ministry Essentials programme, read more below.About Children's Ministry Essentials
